Get started with Joey Yap’s Qi Men Dun Jia Tools

The Joey Yap’s Qi Men Dun Jia Tool is a powerful software that fuses various different systems of Chinese Metaphysics such as the San Yuan Qi Men Xuan Kong Da Gua, ZhuGe Numerology and the 64 Hexagrams.

A typical Qi Men Chart is plotted based on the Hour, Day, Month and the Year of the analysis. Therefore, in a Qi Men Chart, there are 4 Pillars (Similar to BaZi) that corresponds to the time and day of the Qi Men analysis. In this software, these Four Pillars are presented in an easy-to-refer format and users are able to match the right information such as the Out of Gua and the specific Hexagram to each of the Pillars as well as the Doors for each of the San Yuan Qi Men Xuan Kong Da Gua 60 Pillars.

The 64 Hexagrams of the Four Pillars

Each Pillar has its own Hexagram and each specific Hexagram is unique as it carries its own interpretation. The information here is useful because users can develop a better understanding of the Four Pillars in the Qi Men Chart.

The Concept of Out of Gua

In a Qi Men analysis, the Out of Gua concept provides users with more layers and depth to their reading. Out of Gua refers to a Gua that has no benefit or a Gua with negative influences to a specific Pillar. The concept of Out of Gua refers to the conversion of a bad Gua to a good one.

The 8 Doors of the Four Pillars

The 8 Doors are unique to each Pillar and in each Chart, they are different. This section helps users to calculate each Pillar’s actual Door.

Easy Reference Table

This software also lists down all the essential information in a special table for quick reference. This includes information such as:

Forecast Time

Qi Men Forecast Charts are plotted based on the hour of the analysis. When it comes to hour of analysis, it is important to note that one Chinese hour is equivalent to two hours in today’s time.

Structure

Qi Men shares the same fundamentals derived from the Yi Jing’s theory of Yin and Yang, which explains the concept of Qi or Ju 局 in Qi Men. Each Ju or Structure can be influenced in two directions: Yang Forward or Yin Reverse. Additionally, each Structure has 9 types.

Day & Hour Stems

The Day and Hour Stems in Qi Men play an important role in Forecast analysis. In Qi Men analysis, Day Stem usually refers to the Self while Hour Stem indicates the outcome.

Day Nobleman & Hour Nobleman

The Nobleman Star can be described as a Star that brings about “helpful people” in life. The idea here is to use the right hour/day to ensure nothing will be against you in carrying out a particular endeavor.

Death & Emptiness

Death & Emptiness or Void usually indicates that the results of the action associated with the affected Palace will be compromised, reduced or diminished in some way.

Lead Stem

The Palace that contains the Jia Stem is called the Lead Stem Palace. In every Qi Men Chart, the Jia Stem is hidden in one of the 9 Palaces.

Envoy (Lead Door) 直使

The Envoy is also known as the Lead Door. The location of the Envoy will depend on the Yin or Yang Structure’s Hour Pillar and the location of the Lead Star. The location of Envoy is provided here to help facilitate a speedy Chart reading.

Lead Star直符

The Lead Star indicates the domain of the 9 Stars in a Qi Men Chart. To determine the position of the Lead Star 直符, first you need to find out where the Chief Deity resides.

Strength of the Season

Season can be used to evaluate the strength of an element. Do remember that in each season, certain elements are stronger or weaker.

The Qi Men Chart

The most essential component of this software is presented here in the most unique way possible under the Joey Yap’s system. In this system, the Qi Men Chart is drawn out clearly with all the necessary components being labelled, facilitating a quick and intuitive reading in most cases. All the major components are listed down below for a quick glance. Descriptions of minor Structures will be provided in the full descriptions report along with the full analysis of the whole Chart.

Horse Star

The Horse Star is one of the main indicators in a Qi Men Chart as it denotes mobility and the opportunities for travel. Palaces affected by the Horse Star will also indicate fast result and associated outcome that will be realized soon.

Nobleman Star

The Nobleman Star can be considered as one of the most auspicious signs in a Qi Men Chart. It is known as the Star that connects an individual to the “helpful people” in life. It is about selecting the right hour/day to ensure the smoothest proceeding with the support of the right people.

7 Star Path

The 7 Star Path is the most crucial ingredient of a Qi Men Chart as it determines the frequency or the strength of the Deities and the effectiveness of the strategy of each Palace. The 7 Stars are derived from ancient wartime strategist, Zhuge Liang and are considered a lost technique until it was revised by us recently. The 7 Star Path contains 30 thousand different configurations; therefore, no Chart will ever be the same even though Qi Men has only 1080 standard Charts. The 7 Stars are used for various purposes such as Spiritual Qi Men, Qi Men Alchemy, 7 Star Heavenly Lantern, and it also correlates to the 7 realms.

Special Qi Men Structures

The 10 Stems, 8 Doors, 8 Deities and the 9 Stars will form combinations known as the Structure, which indicates either positive or negative outcome within any given Palace in an analysis. These Special Structures provide a more colourful and informative reading compared to a normal analysis.

Death & Emptiness

The Death & Emptiness affects the associated outcome of a Palace, regardless of positive or negative. Usually affected Palace is compromised, reduced or diminished in its outcome.

64 Hexagrams & Changing Yao

A unique method is used under the Joey Yap’s system to determine the Hexagram for each Palace. Using the Zhuge Numerology system, the 64 Hexagrams are calculated based on the movement of the 7 Stars Path to generate the Transforming Yao of the Hexagrams. This Changing Yao brings about 7 different variations to the standard 64 Hexagrams, giving this software more unique possibilities for every reading.

Clickable Boxes

The most difficult part of a Qi Men analysis involves the high amount of information needed for one to make a unique conclusion. With this software, all these information is now available to you anytime and anywhere through the click of a button. The table shown above summarizes all the components of a specific Chart in intuitive clickable buttons that provide a complete analysis for each configuration found within the Palace.

Joey Yap’s Qi Men Progression Status Secret Keywords

This system has simplified the whole analysis method, providing ‘secret keywords’ that would otherwise take a skilled practitioner many years of his or her experience to develop. With every click, users are able to retrieve the secret keywords and perform a more comprehensive analysis pertaining to the progression of certain event or to track certain activity. There are 10 different categories of keywords and each of these keywords has multiple variances.

Sectors

One of the most important features of this software is the information on all possible combinations formed by the components in any given Palace. Every click reveals one complete description of every known combination that exists within the sector.

Qi Men Hexagram

The Hexagrams are formed in a specific sector of a Qi Men Chart and each one of these carries a unique interpretation. Hexagrams are explained by various stages throughout the time, and the most common one is by the King Wen of Zhou周文王. The method being used for this version of Qi Men Dun Jia comes under the Zhuge’s system of 64 Hexagrams which derived from the verse of a specific poem.

7 Star Path

Using the Zhuge Numerology system, the path of the 7 Stars can be used to dictate the Changing Yao of the Hexagram for each Palace. When clicked, this section will present the classics, its transliteration and explanations that describe the outcome or event associated with the Hexagram.

Additional Information

This software also boasts informative features such as the explanation of the 12 Growth & Birth Phases, which provides more layers and enhances the reading for users. It is also used to recommend the right course of action that one should take and the outcome that will possibly derive from taking this action. For the professional who would like to form their own unique conclusion, they can refer to the four buttons below the table to do so. There are the 8 Deities Imagery, 9 Stars Imagery, 8 Doors Imagery and 10 Stems Imagery.
